Ukraine Conducts Strike on Key Russian Oil Pumping Station
(MENAFN) Ukrainian troops carried out a strike overnight on the Unecha oil pumping station in Russia’s Bryansk region, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Wednesday.
Following the attack, a significant fire erupted near the backup pumping station building. The statement, released on Telegram, also reported explosions close to the tank farm and around the main and booster pump areas.
It said the oil pumping station serves as a supply point for the Russian army.
The Unecha station, a critical segment of the Druzhba pipeline network, handles up to 60 million tons of oil annually.
