Poultry farming training program kicks off in Egypt to help out rural women

(MENAFN) The Chinese Embassy in Egypt, in collaboration with local partners, has introduced a poultry farming training program in Menoufia Governorate aimed at equipping rural women with practical skills and increasing household incomes, according to reports.

The initiative is organized jointly with the Egyptian National Alliance for Civil Development Work and Chinese agricultural company New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd., offering expertise in managing poultry farming cycles effectively.

Aya Abdeen, a technical manager and veterinary doctor at New Hope Egypt, explained that the training focuses on key aspects of poultry rearing, particularly for Sasso chickens, covering the process from day-old chicks to market-ready birds.

During the program’s launch on Monday, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang described the initiative as “an innovative practice to support Egypt's poverty alleviation efforts and empower rural women, enhancing the mutual understanding between the Chinese and Egyptian peoples.”
