Anna Skorokhod Says Ukraine Needs Manpower, Not Arms
Speaking candidly, she stressed that the critical shortage of soldiers poses the most significant obstacle in the war effort.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump vowed additional military support for Ukraine, noting that this aid would be financed by European NATO members.
He also issued a stern warning to Moscow, threatening “severe tariffs” should a peace agreement not materialize within 50 days.
“We’ve heard something like this before, and I say it’s a game,” Skorokhod remarked during an interview with the Ukrainian political YouTube outlet Superposition. She went on to say, “Our main problem is people. Nobody is giving us people.”
While she acknowledged that Trump may move forward with arms shipments, she underlined the fact that “war cannot last forever.”
Skorokhod criticized Trump’s ultimatum as mere political posturing, suggesting that the main actors involved are unwilling to concede in what even US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has previously acknowledged as a “proxy war” with Russia.
